Another amazing safari with Safarimakers! The Safarimakers team never disappoints - Johnny carefully arranged every detail and Abdul and Ayubu were (as always) great guides for the experience. On this trip, I traveled with three besties from high school and I wanted them to enjoy themselves and Safarimakers made sure that was the case. We had five days of unforgettable safari filled with many magical moments, followed by three days at Fish Eagle Point (also highly recommended) near Tanga enjoying the Indian Ocean. I highly recommend Safarimakers - they are a great value for the price and personalize each moment of the trip!

A Job Well Done Wow! We had the best guides, Ayubu and Abdul for our safari and trip to the coast. Both of the guides were professional, prompt and did not seem bothered at all by our strange requests. They pointed out animals, cultural points and geography as we travelled along. They were both fun to spend time with and were knowledgeable when we would ask everything and anything about Tanzania. Johnny at Safari Makers also did a great job of handling all of our requests when we were planning our safari. Very pleased.

Would Travel with Safari Makers Again We got linked up to Safari Makers from a family friend. We had an idea of an itinerary in mind, but they helped shape a customized itinerary based on information that we gave them about what we wanted to do and for how long. They set up a hike up Kilimanjaro with the Marangu route. Our guide was named Eligius and he had a team of 7 others that helped make our journey to summit a success (that was the goal - to make it to the top, right)?! Eligius and his team were amazing - positive attitudes as the porters hauled our belongings, food, supplies, and water up the mountain. Positive but realistic encouragement as we hit the challenging summit day. We also set up a safari with Safari Makers. Our guide was Abdul, and we would highly recommend. As other reviews have mentioned, he is respective of the animals, extremely experienced, a safe driver, and knew the answer to every single question we asked about the animals that we saw. We did one day in ngorongoro crater, two days in the Serengeti plains and one day in the northern Serengeti (I think). Don't be afraid to ask for customization of your itinerary. Make sure you comb through it to make sure all the timing works out with any scheduled plans/flights.

Adventure safari as it is meant to be Amazing Safari trip with Hamis and Ali! We did 5 day serengeti + ngorongoro. Hamis takes you on a ride you will not forget, he is still just as excited to see the animals as we were. Almost all the other companies just listen to the car radio and drive to the location where the lions / cheetas are seen, which often results in 10+ cars arriving in the same spot scaring the animals away. We didn't have the radio on for one sec during our whole safari (I do suspect it might have been broken..). Hamis just likes to go driving in the area where he thinks might be animals and often we were the only ones having seen specific wildlife,when we compared stories at te camp (e.g. three male lions marching into enemy territory). For me, this is what made the safari so enjoyable, there is some risk that you don't spot anything for some time, but when you do, it's all yours. Do note that Hamis has a strong personality / drive and will keep pushing for the animals relentlessly, which makes it sometimes a bit of a die-hard experience. Again, if you enjoy thus kind of adventure, you're int the right place. Food, tents, matresses and general organization are of good quality. Car felt a little dated, with some of the locks on doors not working properly. However, for the very competitive rate Safari Makers offers, the prive quality ratio is outstanding. All in all, excellent experience. When we return we will gladly book again.

Excellent safari We went to 3 day safari, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Manyara national park. We were very satisfied with everything, Abdul was a great guide,amazing overall expirience.

WONDERFUL SAFARI!! My friends and I (3 in total) had a wonderful experience with Safari Makers in february (2020). We planned a 7nights/8days safari with Johnny, crossing Arusha National Park, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire park. Johnny was always kind and very quick in answering to all our questions. They offered us a very competitive price (with very nice tented lodge accomodations) and they also included 2hours of walking in the Arusha National Park. Our guide, Pablo, was great! He really knows how to do his job: he knows very well all the parks and told us a lot of curiosities about the wild animals. Plus, he always tried to find for us the best view of the animals! Besides being a very nice and funny driver, he also helped us a lot “outside the safari”. So thank you Johnny and, in particular, thank you Pablo for this great and unforgettable experience!! More than only taking pictures of wild animals We shopped a lot to find a Safari provider that will give our family of 5 the best quality/price ratio for this "once in a life-time adventure". Jane was always fast to respond to our emails and was able to answer all our questions and concerns. The morning of the pickup at our hostel, we were welcomed by the smiley Pablo , our guide and chauffeur for the next 6 days, and together with Prosper, our great cook, we had a wonderful Safari. We greatly appreciated the experience of the team and all useful information about not only wild animals behaviours but also about the culture and way of living in Tanzania. The key of a successful safari depend greatly on the experience of the guide and we got lucky to get the best ones. Asante sana Pablo and Prosper!

Great overnight trip to Ngorongoro Sadly only had a day and a half, but Safari Makers arranged a great trip to Ngorongoro with overnight stay over Lake Manyara. Pablo was a great guide and really nice company.

Trip of a lifetime! Absolutely amazing from start to finish! We did a 4-day, 3-night trip to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater and were in awe from start to finish. Our guide, Abdul, was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and an overall delight to spend the days with. He was respectful of the animals' space, had lots of great stories from his years driving in Tanzania's parks, and I'm still blown away by his ability to spot a far-off cheetah or rhino. Our cook, Ali, made some of the best food we ate in all of Tanzania (especially the peppered steak) - if you can get the Abdul/Ali combo, you're sure to enjoy every minute of your trip. I reached out to a handful of safari companies before booking with this one, and Safari Makers was by far the best value. Couldn't be happier with our decision - I encourage you to make the same!

Beyond my wildest dreams We did a short, mid-range, 4 day safari in July with Hamis as our guide. It was the most amazing trip we’ve ever taken. Everything was beyond what we expected- the animals, the lodgings, the food- and most importantly, our guide Hamis. He went above and beyond to make the trip everything it was. His passion and knowledge about everyplace we visited made it obvious that he loves what he does. He was also very patient with our 10 y/o autistic son, which made us feel comfortable and able to enjoy the trip all the more. There was a bit of a mixup about our lodging when the safari was over but he and Jane from safari makers were quick to help us and make sure we were taken care of. We even got to make a stop by the main office to meet Jane- who is just as wonderful in person as she is when communicating via email. I wound hands down, recommend this company a thousand times over but make sure you request Hamis. 😊
